YOU ARE NOT ALONE (Y.A.N.A) PROGRAM Seniors 55+ Y.A.N.A. is a free program for independent seniors in Fontana who do not have family and friends to check on them regularly. The City is offering regular home visits by Police Department Citizen Volunteers. Residents can apply online at FontanaCA.gov. Contact (909-356-7107 for more information.
BLUE ENVELOPE PROGRAM All Ages
POLICE DEPARTMENT CITIZEN ACADEMY PROGRAM Ages 18+ Experience the life of a police officer.Get an inside look at the daily challenges officers face. This free 10-day program provides participant’s with station and facility tours, a ride-along with a patrol officer, and many other amazing experiences. Class size is limited. This program helps improve communication between law enforcement and individuals
with conditions or disabilities like autism, dementia, or anxiety during law enforcement interactions. Free Blue Envelope branded items, including lanyards, bracelets, stickers, and a blue envelope for important vehicle documents are available at the police department.
