POLICE EXPLORERS PROGRAM Ages 14-20 Work with police officers and learn about various law enforcement career paths. Explorers get a unique behind-the-scenes experience learning from various units including records, front desk, the detective unit, traffic enforcement, and a patrol officer’s function through a ride-along. POLICE DEPARTMENT CITIZEN VOLUNTEER PROGRAM Ages 21+ The Fontana Police Department Citizen Volunteer Program is designed to promote community participation by giving civilians the opportunity to volunteer their talents and experience to assist the Fontana Police Department in fulfilling its mission. POLICE DEPARTMENT CITIZEN ACADEMY PROGRAM Ages 18+ Experience the life of a police officer. Get an inside look at the daily challenges officers face. This free 10 day program provides participant’s with station and facility tours, a ride along with a patrol officer, and many other amazing experiences. Class size is limited.
